Kylo blinks.
Hux had to broadcast the last for him to be hearing it without trying. Snoke,
even Skywalker said much about him being a worthy student, a commendable
servant, but neither ever talked about their worthiness to lead. It was always
implied that it was Kylo who needed.
He was the supplicant, and he would be indulged at his master’s discretion.

Hux led, he
planned, he commanded, and punished, but unlike any before him, Hux needed as well.
