It was the afternoon after Kylo started to work in a tattoo place next to the Arkanian Flowers shop when he noticed the ginger florist for the first time. Since that afternoon he brought him coffee every morning and tried to ask him out every Friday evening. 

Hux always said no. 

It wasn’t that he wasn’t flattered, he just liked the attention and was scared that after saying yes, Kylo would get bored of him. He was just a boring old man, after all.
